Before being able to use it, you will have to compile wmi-client for Linux.<\/p>\n

2. Install stuff on the Linux box to support compiling (package names may vary depending on you Linux distribution)
\napt-get install autoconf python libdatetime-perl make gcc<\/p>\n

3. Download stuff
\nThis is actually from the Zenoss project, to whom most of the credit should go:
\nhttp:\/\/dev.zenoss.org\/svn\/trunk\/inst\/externallibs\/wmi-1.3.13.tar.bz2<\/p>\n

4. Bunzip and untar stuff
\nbunzip2 wmi-1.3.8.tar.bz2
\ntar -xvf wmi-1.3.8.tar<\/p>\n

5. Make
\ncd wmi-1.3.6
\nmake<\/p>\n

6. Find something else to do for at least 10 minutes, compiling takes time<\/p>\n

7. Test it
\nwmic -U DOMAIN\/USER%PASSWORD \/\/HOST “Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem”
