Install stuff on the Linux box to support compiling (package names may vary depending on you Linux distribution)<br \/>\napt-get install autoconf python libdatetime-perl make gcc<\/p>\n<p>3. Download stuff<br \/>\nThis is actually from the Zenoss project, to whom most of the credit should go:<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/dev.zenoss.org\/svn\/trunk\/inst\/externallibs\/wmi-1.3.13.tar.bz2<\/p>\n<p>4. Bunzip and untar stuff<br \/>\nbunzip2 wmi-1.3.8.tar.bz2<br \/>\ntar -xvf wmi-1.3.8.tar<\/p>\n<p>5. Make<br \/>\ncd wmi-1.3.6<br \/>\nmake<\/p>\n<p>6. Find something else to do for at least 10 minutes, compiling takes time<\/p>\n<p>7. Test it<br \/>\nwmic -U DOMAIN\/USER%PASSWORD \/\/HOST &#8220;Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem&#8221;<br \/>\nYou should get lots of information from your target Windows machine.
