I get “A valid MODE and/or SUBMODE must be specified” but I have done that

You might have an error in one of your ini files.
Have you modified the ones you downloaded?

It might be a bit of trial and error to find the one with the problem.
Either move your ini files one at a time or rename them so that they do not end with .ini.
See if you can find which file contains the error.
Compare them to the ones available on the downloads page.

Errors in the ini files can be:

  • incorrectly formed lines. eg If you had some garbage text on a line like
    THIS IS GARBAGE
  • Incorrectly defined section names eg missing [ or ]
  • missing the = eg
    display TotalTimeouts
